Easy Steps!

First of all, what is Adobo?
Adobo is a widely known favourite Philippine dish, marinated in different ways, with pork or chicken. It is greatly enjoyed by many.

Preparation time: 5 - 10 minutes.
Cooking time: 30 - 45 minutes.
Servings: As many as you would like.

What Do I Need?

Now, what ingredients and equipment do I need to make it?
First, you need to decide whether you would like to cook it with Pork or Chicken. My favourite would have to be Pork. I will guide you step by step on how to make adobo MY way.

You will need the following:

- A Large pot with a lid.
- A large spoon (or anything you can stir with)
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- Meat-cutting knife and cutting board
- Knife to mince garlic.

Ingredients:
- 6 or 7 cloves of Garlic
- Pork or Chicken (as much as you would like)
- 5 dried Bay Leaves.
- 2 Cups Water (as long as it covers the meat)
- 1 tbsp. canola or vegetable oil
- 1 and 1/2 Cup Vinegar
- 1 and 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 1 tbsp. Salt (or Garlic Salt/Onion Salt)

I'm Ready To Start!

STEPS:
1) Cut Pork or Chicken into small cubes (if using chicken with bone, ignore this step).
2) Chop Garlic until minced to your liking.
3) Place Meat, Oil, Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Water, Minced Garlic, Pepper, and Salt in a Large Pot.
4) Set on Stove Top and put on Med-High heat. Cover.
5) Once the meat is tender, add Bay Leaves and put on Low Heat and let simmer for 5 minutes. (If there is no more stock, add a little bit of water)
6) Remove from heat. Let cool down, serve with rice and enjoy!

Enjoy!
